  • "Killing summer! "...in fire and amber and rust" gloriously.&,in - - glorious guise: the season that falls, leaves all 'round, is the season that kills... a poignant work of art, as autumns' kiss. "

  • "ps, yes, of course, a most perfect intro line, as well. And as well, the day the Trilogy is complete! This Pen & Ink world juxtaposed in steampunk-cyberspace will be that-so-much-purrfect-better... ~jon"

  • ""You told me your story and kept me forever and touched me like lightning and dreamt me your hell" Classic you; such genius & brilliance your weaving of words, like a mythic/mystical witchy poet. The boodlust, the darkling serenity, the winter flames all in the vein of Green Fire... "fathoms of favour" "gently infernal and lethal as lovers" and finally POEM OF THE DAY so truly warranted. I've known this poem just shy of 8 years, and it still burns... perfectly. And further-finally: the Endline: so absolute in it's infinite finite as the paradox of day in night. Pure brilliance. "

  • "This forever remains worthy of it's Poem of the Day Award. No poem is more perfectly bent..."

  • ""This city will not be where I found it yesterday." You know how I feel. I love this "Redux" version (& am reminded, to a point, of another author yet your reason for the changes are of a most different nature... still, I am in awe of these changes). U deserve that Berlin poetica trip! To slipstream Unter den Linden, blister in the sunset mirrors. Berlin will take you! Someday, perhaps, you'll take Manhattan. For now to be wrapped in the photograph-cranes of satisfaction, in the German tongue, "this surrogate reality, this slipstream city". The perfect last stanza for this redux, "I've been lost for daze". Berlin Daze. Don't forget to breathe, as you walk, "frame-by-frame" into Zoo Station. Brilliantly awarded, rewarded, deserved. Only the best poets have things of this nature happen to them. Well done. Bravouros!!! "

  • "Berlin Days... so honest, and rare; so deserving of the trip won to Berlin this poem you've written has granted you. A poem so worthy of it's recognition. You might not have taken Berlin, but Berlin is taking you (for a September! "faraway/so close"). Bravo!!!"

  • ""just like the fjords of norway" w/ a stunning, never considered before reflection to New York's Central Park! Brilliantly perfect. & this new semi-urbanality poetry from you, I love it! The glorious use of your rhythmic aspects of prose & the magnificence of your human intellect brought down to size by the grace & pride of the "grandiose things" in the splendid penultimate stanza; the sense of near invisible rhythmic structure/meter, like jazz, listen to the notes you cannot hear. The between melodies. & the surreal tangential final "spellbound" verse, so purr_fect! This poem is a photograph. As Solace said: a "glorious piece". Echium plantagineum? The "crazyfaced purple weed" (Purple Viper's Bugloss)? The Solace comment lent me towards that theory for the perfect end, from a picture of Central Park to the fjords of Norway to your breathless smallness as to the universe and then the smallest of things... this is pure purr_verse. glorious & diminished yet elevated. Beautifully crafted! "
