Hemorrhage (not a cutting poem)
By Disassembly Boy
You stick your finger in my heart
But you can't stop the bleeding
Pinching off the ventricles
Still it's slowly beating.
Mouth just like an enemy
Screaming all this honesty
So take your fucking shot at me
You can't keep what you've set free.
And I was never ever whole
A spine is what I lacked
But I sold my soul to fill that hole
Now it's stabbing through my back.
Relapse, In the past I've faked it
But I'm not afraid to say it
Who he was
And who I am
Oh, You can't kill what I've become.
A monster and your nemesis
But I'm not ashamed of this
The one you love
The one you hate
You're only as sick
As what you create.
But I was never in your image
So dirty in my reflection
Does it make you nauseous
Hearing my confession?
Oh, God, you look so swollen
And the faith's no longer there
I'll put my hands together
But this is not a prayer.

Powerful. Very nicely written. You can feel it build up in the middle and just hit you with the last two lines. Brilliant and well done.
