Nothing but Suffering on Board the S.S. Sorrow

By Fading_Smile

Let's throw our headstones into the ocean
plot our graves beneath the sea
slit our wrists and dive headfirst
as we bleed and pray for shark's company

I walk the plan omniscient
pierced by friendly blades so dull
burden my cross to the rocky bottom
and leave my heart for black seagulls

Let's bury the scars of Summer
beneath depression and sandy remorse
drown in the captain's lonely quarters
as waves carry us to similar shores

I poured my soul into a letter
bottled and left to float at sea
But I lost my life above the water
when my smile truly ceased to be

I threw my headstone into the ocean
made a home for you and me
I bled for your lucid absence
and sharks made me a memory
