"Median"
By Grim_Sorrow
one seldom hears
the
Pitter
pat pat patter
of A lustfull gaze
seductive glances
forsaken
forgiven
forgotten
To witness one must close his eyes
Focus
dream
force the pain away
day by day
word by word
each stroke
each pound
each beatten path
a testement to me
my minds folley
forgiven
beyond straight forward recognition
and this
my false ambition
hopeless
hapless
me
the focus of ones apathy
setting forth
giving up
I'm halfway there
And damnit
I'll never make it in time
watching helplessly
as i sit
inundated by the glow
of this
my great escape
my sanity
my last thread of humanity
the final thoughts of a neurotic mind
I'm halfway there.
I'm halfway there...
but where the hell are you

I agree with circe the structure was perfect for the poem.... the poem it's self was interesting enough for me to want to read it all the way through which beleive me is a major acomplishment

the pace here feels hurried like you are trying to reach someone on time, it's like the dream you have where you're almost there and then start running, but getting nowhere, not even moving anymore, this feeling of stagnation so perfectly capatured.

halfway is nowhere, half-way is generally meaningless but at half-way you have hope, you end up hoping that you are going to make it all the way but most people don't meet anyone half-way, chillingly surreal...
