Interrupting the Sequence
By AnotherWitheredRose
If only I could find the words
Id tear them from within
Wear (my) feeling on my sleeve
The sleeve that covers (my) scarred skin
(My) skin a blanket of scars
Scars blanket the memories
(Pink and fading like the pAst)
But the thoughts don’t form
Into an independent clause
Only in fragment or run ons
So I’ll keep (my) feelings to (my)self
Until I can verify my hearts beat correct.ly
(There has been too much blood loss reminiscing)
And it hurts to think
We’ll have to come back
To this thought again
And that the lack of pounding in my chest
Has gone unnoticed all along…
Has it stopped completely?
Or has it frozen in time
Since (my) life was stolen
Interrupting the sequence

It was a river streaming swiftly into my mind with the images of so much. This was full of pain that just stabbed at your heart
