To feel that a love has been lost
To understand that something very close is gone
Is unlike knowing the seasons that came
Or the waves of the oceans that went
If in our souls we find this deprive
This entirely unimagined expanse
Where the heavyness of an enduring suffering
Rips through the fabric of our hearts

To feel that an end has to come
To understand that something will never return
Is unlike gazing at the stars at night
Or the moonlight covering the surface of a pond
If in regards to mortality, we dread
We lie awake contemplating our decay
Tearing meanings of our lives
Of our past
Revealing how often we choose the path less fortunate

To feel that a peace will never arrive
To understand that a troubled soul will be in perpetuity
Is so unlike gazing at the shifting clouds
Or the wind playing with a flower
If underpinned by the weight of time
By the weight of fate
Is an infinity of dying hours
Devouring our dreams and our love
Coldly leading to a resign
A sea of abandon
Holding God's hand
and drowning...

i absolutely love the way in which you weave such natural imagery into this, i can taste the pain---the reality of this piece...that reaches, touches, embraces...and sometimes drowns...the like of all humanity. beautifully connective write.

this reminds me of rudyard kiplings 'if' in a way, the melancholy soft tone of how this is read, only, unlike 'if' there is no light at the end with this, theres no escaping

the immensity of your work floors me, im left staggering in your quiet contemplations that unearth a bleak disparity from even beautiful suroundings, it is with poignancy that you stack these words upon us like weights until finally collapsing
