There is no justice in the jungle

By ONEANDLONELY

Children laughing crowd the clown.
They don’t know the man,
hiding the frown.

Innocence is what they have…

The white-faced man feels naked to them.

The veil that blinds falls from eyes.
of children grown old,
in violent times.

Innocence is what they had…

They will never see the clown again.
