Hiding the pain
By rainbowgoth
She lays there
Safe in his arms
So vulnerable
SO beautiful
He kisses her
She melts
She cries on his shoulder
He doesn't let her know
But deep inside he cries
And it makes him sad to see her hurt so much
He helps her hide the bruises
And wash the pain away
He helps her keep it inside
And to survive another day
he wishes he could kill them
And he swears he will
He see what they do to her
And deep inside his anger builds
She sees what is happening
But she doesn't know why
And all she can do
Is scream and cry
He holds her close
And tells her its ok
And for a split second
She believes him
Then she feels it
The knife in her back
The rivers flow freely
He stabs her again
He watches her go
Then tastes the cold steel
As his brains spatter all over the wall
His body hits the floor
And they are free
Free of the hurt and pain
No more bruises to hide
No more beatings to survive
