Vampyre
By darkness_descends
I woke in the midst of night,
To the feel of a painful bite.
This creature fed on my lifes' blood,
It was no use to fight back, the transformation had begun.
I know I should have grieved or cried,
But I knew I was dying inside.
Only to be "reborn",
Eternally wandering and forlorn.
Heartless and cold,
Forever alone.
Hiding from the sun,
Forever on the run.
Cursed with this hunger,
That burns and festers.
Plagued by this constant, ever pressing need.
I'm going crazy, tonight I must feed.
The blood from your neck stains my lips red,
Cures my hunger and calms the pounding in my head.
I move from place to place,
Lurking in the shadows, never showing my face.
Moving with a blinding speed,
No mortal could ever match or beat.
Yielding strength that decieves my size,
And hell can be seen in my empty eyes.
The human race is ready to fall,
I am just here to end it all.
