For the Apparent Non-existant
By maddin foxxxy
Felt some screaming at the top of my head
thought somebody was calling for me there
these voices I heard . .
But no one was there
In the faces I see
I cannot believe
there's someone out there as real
as they're pretending to be
guess no one really knows
how their own story goes . .
I've disconnected the cables that attach me to earth
never learned the trick
of the breathing technique
and then my face goes blue
and cry some tears remembering days when life was new
I've cut out the only road to the road of emotion
In the faces I see
I cannot believe
there's somebody out there that resembles me
Another fool like me
walking down the street singing as he goes
just like me
just as me
his story that no one got to know
Thinking quietly
said my thoughts were loud
using all my brain too much
and doing so little
spreading my disease in one frozen touch
and caring too little
My mind it feels adopted
my mind it was not mine
just had life of its own
that no one got to know . .
Cause in the faces I see
nothing than masks to me
a masquerade that fades
as makeup
with water
disdains
a masquerade that fades
like colors through the rain..............

"I've cut out the only road to the road of emotion" This is an extremely well crafted poem, w/ great emotion, analogies and rhythm. You still have the gift; well done, "a masquerade that fades."

This was very catching, was going to pass on by, until (like ShadowFlight said) it caught me and wouldn't let go. Amazing. ~ Asheai

this is stunning throughout, encapsulating, and the ending finished it off perfectly

this one seems so-so... until it reaches up, grabs you by the collar, gets in your face and says "uh HELLO, I'm talking to *YOU* here!" Superb write
