Staring Up At Me

By darkness_descends

Standing alone
Dazed and confused
Can't hold it in
The tears break free
My mind breaks down
And my knees give out
I fall to the ground
Sobbing uncontolably
A pool forming under me
A face staring up at me
Tear stained
Red eyed
And empty
With no desire to live showing through
My face
Looking back at myself
So I close my eyes
To not look at the pitiful sight before them
I see myself
Lying in the floor
In the middle of a bloody pool
My life quickly fading
When I hear the door of my room open
Followed by a horrified scream
As my love sees this scene
And tears devour her
As she falls by my side
Skin stained with my blood
Just before my life fades out
I mouth the words
"I'm sorry, I Love You, Good bye!"
As I choke on my tears
Forever riddled with guilt
At the moment I die
My eyes snap open
To the same pain filled face
Staring up from a pool of tears
And the guilt of a moment that never happened
Keep me alive.
