Earl Joseph

By ONEANDLONELY

Earl Joseph,
my father, my dad.
The man in my life,
I never had.
Was it so tough,
ever so bad?

Why did you run,
from your blue eyed lad?

Pain in the bottle,
unleashed by your hand.
It would have been better,
to make your stand.

Left on stares,
in a hostile land.
Beaten as a boy,
by the dad you had.
Running from demons,
crossed dressed in plaid.
You were the boy,
unwanted by one,
the other voice silenced,
and still on the run.

Let me be your glory,
in your shadow years.
I'll stroke your hair,
soften your fears.
It is as it should be.
I am your son.

Till tomorrow...

Forever, and always...

I forgive what you've done.

I can fogive, but I've never forgot. I agree though, with mysticventures, forgiveness is all that can be asked and so much more.
