Reunion

By ONEANDLONELY

What do I want from that place in time?
What do I need from the past?
I could re-create,
investigate,
or be released at last.

I am still the person,
I was back then.

Worried and afraid
I wouldn't fit in

There was a great need for me to fight,

left that to others

sold my soul at night.

All will read,
and know my name.

I'm high as I write this.
in my shelter of shame.

There is beauty,
in all that I know.

Will you stand before me?

Admit that you know me!

Slow the pace for me.
Prevent the road to me.

Your children are safe,
as seasons are changing

tough as you were,

and in love with her.

The world is causes,
time relates,

Fragmented by lives,
and frozen poses.

Quiet times,
bring out the true self.

Suffocation in the water,
controls world wide order.

Peace in the beauty,

of your soul mate' daughter.

  • A former member wrote: Very nicely done. I found sorrow in this for me, if my soulmate had a daughter that wouldn't be mine, I think I would lose it for a while. Well penned, anyhow.
