and who's really to blame?

By anathema

easy
to point a finger
and say
your
fault
not
mine

easy
to say this is right
that is wrong
and that
is
that

easy
to judge
and make decisions
for other people
to shake your head
and tsk tsk

easy to say
she's a slut
he's a dipshit
they were the evil ones
they
were
the wrongdoers

easy to be the victim

hard
to take ownership
for your mistakes
to say
"this was my fault
and i'm sorry"
to change
and fix
what you broke

hard
to admit
you were wrong
stupid
and made the wrong decision

hard
to accept the blame
realize where you went
astray
and move on
having learned
from the experience

hard
to look at yourself
examine your motives
and say
i did this
for all the wrong reasons

hard to admit when you
were the one
who victimized
yourself

ah
this would be
a much better world
if only
more people
took the hard path
instead
of the easy one

it would also be
utopia

simple and obvious but still it needs to be said, very well written and all so very true and the ending finished it off perfectly, something every single one of us should think of more
