Achilles Heart

By Lifeless

I surrender all to you
I've given up the fight
You didn't win from cunning
You didn't win with guile
I can no longer stand
My will sucked dry
Emotionally broken
Your vicious tongue too much to bear
Once the fire burned within me
No longer can I draw a breath
to blow the ember to a flame
You dance in your victory
But the win is weak
You can't see what the outsiders do
A sadists standing above a broken man
A proven warrior brought down
Not by a blow
No physical wound
But a heart ripped away without regard
