Kiss of Death

By darkness_descends

I have given up fighting
And let emptiness consume me
Nothing is all I have inside
Vacancy flashes in my eyes
No energy or ambition left
I long for the kiss of death
To feel her cold lips
Press against mine
Sucking out my life
Breathing in my pain
Giving shelter to my tortured soul
Putting her hand on my shoulder
Sending sheiver of anticipation down my spine
The end is drawing near
And I've never felt more alive
She envelops me in her comfortable embrace
Pulling me close
And silences the beating of my pain filled heart
With the cold steel edge of her serpentine dagger
Once again she locks her lips on mine
Calming me with her gentle caress
And answers my prayers
With her kiss of death.
