It's been too long old friend
Tell me of your many days
Are your nights long
Do you feel warmth in the sun
Does the rain hide your tears
What do you crave or is your heart full

Do you dance on crunchy autumn leaves
As the first blossoms appear this year
Years and hemispheres apart
Does the stormy skies keep you locked inside
Do you bath in euphoric summer fun

Show me your words
Tell me of your day
I do not know you but
What made you come this way

Sit down by the fire, the stars are shining bright
I'll listen quietly to your words
As we sing our songs tonight

The familiar wondering stranger
Has a home tonight

This is wonderful and refreshing to read, like watching the rebirth of someone as their soul finally reaches the skies after a long arduous journey through and then out of hell.
