Dis...connect

By SolApathy

Disconnected form the happiness you once whispered I’d feel
Talking to the shadows
 wishing they were real
Today I sat upon the bench at your grave
Begging for you to show me what is left to save
Sun, disinfectant, bringer of life
Burning too bright upon a man that feels no light
I am the shadow in the sun
As I am the shadow in the shade
Feeling so dark, yet I can’t seem to fade
