Mine

By Soulfire

Falling in love with you happened so fast
Sharing laughter, and jokes, and stories from our past
You make me laugh until tears stream down my face
You're one of a kind and could never be replaced
From the boy that you were to the man you grew into
You shared loves and losses, and what you had been through
Something within you ignited something within me
Soon you became all that I could smell, taste, and see
Every movie was about you, every song about us
I gave you my heart, and give you my trust
I want to love you so fiercely, you forget every pain
I want us to go jogging topless in a warm summer rain
I want to lay in the sand laughing and breathless as we stare at the stars
I want to go back to the lake and sit in your car
Your laughter is music to my soul, your kiss so divine
But what I want most of all is to call you mine
