Emptiness

By Candy81_BabyBlues

Always searching, looking for a reason to believe that I'm loveable that I'm worthy.
Taken by death a darkness ignites in me a fake smile for all the world to see.
A secret I shall keep, no one will ever truly know the real me, blinded by the truth.

Society a movie for everyone to see a smile that isn't the real me a show for popularity.
I'm broken and scared to fall asleep alone and afraid that no one will ever love me.
I am starving always hungry this emptiness in my stomach is killing me.

My cup is empty I shall thirst for a sweetness a craving an addiction for someone to love me.

Totally relatable piece to so many poets, the sadness is coupled with longing yet. Tight
