I hope you're well
I hope this somehow. Somewhere. Reaches you
I wish I held on to your words
I never fully appreciated them back then
Wish I could read them all over again
When you said my sadness was beautiful
That I was beautiful..
Your words kept me alive when I was under the sea.
My sadness hasn't got sway and I'm not as sensual now
But I have strength!
It's uncontainable like a wave
Part of a bigger driving force
Unstoppable with one goal
You'd be proud of it.
Maybe my stubbornness not so much...
It's been one and a half decades since your words danced like music through
my mind
You got stuck there somehow and my thoughts linger on you often
After all these years
I wish I could hear your words
Know you more
See your face
I hope you're well
I hope you're happy
