These Thoughts

By happilydepressed

When hours of thought weigh heavy on my mind
It is you i try to find
I pace back and forth through the shadows of an all too familiar twilight
And somehow i think these thoughts of you will make me feel alright

When i was around you i felt alive and well
And when you left my life when straight to Hell
This dying dismal day is drawing to a close
The night falls and the day it goes

I sit bewildered in my chair
Thinking thoughts i can't find a voice to share
All i can do is reminisce
And regret all I miss

Fate has a funny way of playing out
And all these thoughts are hard to think about
Even harder to act upon
For reasons to me above and beyond

When i look into your face
These thoughts through my mind just race
These thought i can't avoid
These thoughts just add to the void

Sanity now seems unobtainble
And these thoughts seem no longer containable
I'm just looking for peace of mind
But these thought is all i find

These thoughts will never set me free
Perhaps these thoughts is all they'll ever be
