For You

By Smiles

I see the writing on your skin
Raised scar tissue like braille
My fingertips trace your story
But I see between the lines
You've always been beautiful
I'll tell you twice for every cut
You've always been beautiful
I wish you could see it
Like a mosaic of misery
There's a bigger picture
And it's breathtaking

I'm trying not to relate this to my situation because it takes away from the work and dedication put to thought here. Simply said; I wish for things like this every day.
