The Darkness My Only Friend

The darkness brings with it comfort
It sooths
It consumes my inner thoughts
Frees my emotions
Slows time
It's so vast and empty
But yet so crowded and full
In the darkness and only in the darkness can peace be found
Give in and then take it all in
Let darkness fall
Let the lights dim and fade out
Leave me in this beautiful calm
Where the only sound is the deafening sounds of silence
Close your eyes
Numb yourself until the pain dies
Let the darkness come on in
Let the fears and secrets come out
Give yourself to the darkness
And the darkness will give you calm,peace,and freedom
