Look Forward

By Alanarchy

Breathe in, she said

Hold it in for ten seconds and breath out

Ponderous, this birth
Of soul within soul
Unfurl
Florescent in flashes
And I can't control the way my chest

Expands out

Contracts in

Like a shutter covers lens for
But a moment and then
Begins
Again.

Breath out and hold
That empty inside of you for a moment

Because that next breath
Is something
You can look forward to.

Sorry I’m late to the party, great to see something new from you! Loved the way this flowed, you made the lines feel like they were breathed. Ciao, T/S Scholar

I can go on and on about how it’s good to see you post again, but I’ll simply say....your writing has grown. You’ve always been one of my favorites, and this was beautiful.
