Crushed Starlight

By Tagen

What love do you see,
If you can't see me perfectly?
So throw stones at the light,'
Cause I'm empty of dignity.

I would rush into your arms,
If those arms wouldn't crush me.
What warmth would I find there?
While you gradually become an enemy?

I've ceased to dream
On these starlit November nights.
Wishing on winter to hold me
As I blush red against your knife.

Crushed.
Empty,
Broken blue -

And starlit hearts bloom,
Breaking beneath a full moon,
And you're already gone,
Forever too soon.
