Losing the Bottle Is Half The Battle

By RoseTheBrokenHearted

I found love,
In the bottom of a bottle.
I found peace,
Standing on the ledge.
I found calm,
In a storm of hurt.
I found pain,
In opening up.
I found anxiety,
In every memory.
I found anger,
In my sobriety.

You never really lose it, its something you'll carry with you for years to come. There's no tricks or short cuts, no easy ways out, and sobriety is hard. But trust from a voice of experience, it sure beats the alternative. Best of luck to you, and thanks for posting this

I'm a recovering meth addict and one of the things I learned in recovery is that it's okay to feel our feelings because feelings are rarely facts. I could go on and on here but just send me a message if you need to talk.
