Don't Turn Back Time (Letter to my Former-Self)

By RoseTheBrokenHearted

Honey, don't you dare;
Wish to turn back lost time.
Trust me, Darlin'
I promise that you'll get there.
Long roads and lessons,
To be learned.
But you'll come back stronger,
With every bridge ever burned.
You'll no longer hurt,
Longing over him.
Sweetheart, those memories?
I promise you won't miss them;
Definitely not forever.
Those darker days?
Yeahh, they'll become more clear;
And one day;
You'll lose all that fear.

Author's Note:

I no longer wish to turn back time, but if I could send this note to my past self-employed I would, just to give her hope. Maybe in the future, this piece will serve as a reminder.
