blanket camouflage

By Flavorless

I miss sitting in our calls
with our video cameras on,
as you played a silly game
or sorted all your Pokemon.
I would stare straight at your mouth
as you told me i was cute.
I hid my face instantly
as your words made me a mute.
this of course, just made it worse,
as you continued your barrage.
and i'd make a squealing sound,
as i hid in blanket camouflage.

I miss the moments where you'd smile
because of something dumb i'd do,
and i'd burst out in laughter,
and then you'd start laughing too.
The dumb faces that you'd make
when you sent Snapchats from work,
I pretended not to like them
but they always made me smirk.
The shitty memes and sex jokes
made me feel overjoyed.
You have no sense of humor,
but you still filled the void

Very vivid. I enjoyed this because it reminded me of the good old days of early adolescence. Thank you for sharing. :)

Nice tribute piece, really makes me remember past experiences. Nice and warm simple little things build upon the bigger things. I hope you are feeling better, great piece.
