Listen to the music...Set the mood as the darkness ensues...

Thoughts always drift to those I’ve lost
Dreams in a river, tossed
Floating into sweet abandon
The grief of their loss I never truly fathomed
Until today when a wind so strong, swayed
Blew open the doors of scars I thought, slayed
Hidden in my personal pandora’s box
Thoughts always drift to those I’ve lost
Reminding me of the intemperate cost
Keeping rotting dreams I thought, tossed
Today I realized the river was just a pseudonym
A dark phantom limb
Gutting my soul from within
