A Love Song

By Tagen

To The One

Spear in my back, I embraced the pain.
Hands bloody, maw red, inflamed.
I cower.

I took refuge under covers
While the enemy watched me as I slept.
"All is well here,"
Her feet too precious to neglect.

I trembled til You held me
with a love that brought me
full circle,
to Your beating heart -
alive, alight, for a girl like me.

Only you could see the beauty
In my brokenness
Through perfect eyes.

My fingers fumble,
trying to strike chords.
Trying to sing for you, Jesus.
But you held my hand
and showed me
my broken heart's chord.

Released.
A captive no more.
Bring me near
Heal my heart's sore

I weep,

Love....reborn.
