Never Seen

By Damien

Into these eyes with such depth
a cloaked figure suggesting death
Or so I perceive
Unless in death perception deceives

It was a she or so I was led to believe
Silver hair flowing without a care
so unclean
Her peripheral eye follows me
yet she was unseen
Like a whisper left to the breeze
only in a dream could I imagine such a being

Pure or evil, these words do not apply
The darkness holds secrets yet never tells why
she became part of it
or was she all of it
I was not made to know
as her silver hair and black robe flows

Endlessly as if born from the abyss
surely had no place in a world such as this
It seems an eternity since I took a breath
for any sound I would make could invite death
for such a dream is where my demon was given birth
for such a dream where feet never touch the earth
for such a dream where I would be taken first

I follow her into the cold, black ground
I cry out loud but can not force a sound
her figure, a shroud, hovers over like a dark cloud
all that remains is lingering doubt
Where as Adam had his Eve
The demon was never seen

Before it can all be written
and all of mankind is forgiven
by the lifeless pit I live in
Was my demon in me
My demon a she
or was it released
never seen
