Library Girl

By Tagen

She is full
Of library girl angst,
Like the moon is full,
Before it wanes.

& When I met her,
She blushed so blue -
(And every like hue),
In torn grey tights,
Her combat boots
Crushed her half-smoked cigarette.

& Her eyes,
They sparkled invites,
Daring me to care.

But, I had to run and hide,
Before midnight,
Fully aware
She'll never be my princess,
And I am a frog.
