su amada

By Magdalena

.

today doesn't quite fit
 it's fragile and awkward
   and might just break
with the weight of her heart
bearing down on its very existence

soon the hours will be gone
he left before they were over
to be with stars and galaxies
forever dreaming, boneless and blind
 forgeting to miss her

May: the month that takes
jaws wide and teeth sharp
holding pain and tears in its belly
 swallowing light and life
with a rib-cage full of ghosts

when this time slips from her skin
she will find her way back
away from the hovering dusk, his silence

she will no longer drown
in the loss of his breathing

This was very raw and emotional. A beautifully tragic piece. May she Rest In Peace. - 10
