...Solitude's Scream

By SolApathy

I am the chaos of the strands I pull
My emptiness is never full
Driven to the extremes by my own screams
I bloodied my most sensual dreams
I find the chaos enchanting
Lost myself the night I heard you recanting
Telling me love wasn’t real
Just another illusion of things you didn’t really feel
Burden me with thoughts of so much time
I ponder the finality of a crossed line
I whispered to myself –I’ll be fine
Knowing all along it was just an empty line
Full of comfort I’ll never find
This emptiness is all mine
I cradle the daggers of this torrid rage
Smiling all along as I leave this cage
Standing tall as I watch my emotions endure
My burdened reality
...of a life with no cure…

This was haunting. I really don't know what else to say.

Knowing all along, there was venom in my spine :) I'm such a kibitzer! "...the finality of a crossed line" - just too good to tamper with my friend Sol, and worthy of a poem as a standalone. I must remember "recanting", but my memory has faded from overzealous decanting. Cheers my friend! - Dan
