All Alone

By midnights voice

All Alone

It's almost two a.m.
in the morning
I hear the silence
of the forgotten
and forlorn
I see the endless
empty feelings
of being here
forgotten and
all alone

The evening
was so full of
promise
The laughter was
so natural
and carefree
I felt like I
had finally found
the place that
I was meant to be

But the people
soon paired into
couples
The loud noise
had become
subdued
And by midnight
the room was mostly
empty
Empty as the feeling
it had left inside of
me

So I left
and nobody
noticed
No goodbyes
or see you again
real soon
I walked into the
darknees
of the warm
evening air
Realizing that I was
one of those people
who had no one
who cared

So put me on
the highway
I've got no where
I have to be
More empty miles
of lonesome
on the road
called eternity

And I will now fake it
And I will somehow
learn to take it
Take it all back home
with me

So put me on
the highway
I've got no where
I have to be
More empty miles
of lonesome
on the road
to eternity

We think that its maybe the picture matched up with the piece that makes us think. You're very good at finding the right picture for your work. Not to take anything away from your talent, its just the two together that makes us think. We enjoyed.

I enjoyed this, such freedom in loneliness that can sometimes feel good - but usually not. I would also love to hear the song version of this!

I really want to hear this with an acoustic guitar behind it. The way you were able to paint the images and bring the emotions to life... This one is special.

Thank you so much Drea . It seems many think this should be put to music . Maybe "Weird Al" Yankovic could cover it .

There is such a freedom to being all alone I guess. I eat my words. You've had much more experience than I when it comes to isolation. Well written.
