Tether Weather

By Maladroit

Just come.... in theory;
Place your peace secondary-
Internalize any commentary-
Blend a smudge above ordinary-
Become better friends with Involuntary-
Act as the social secretary-
Take more notes than what you give;
Don’t
forget
to smile...

So, I do,
exist here-
in theory...
Toe walking lines of elected derealization-
Slip streaming myself into separation...
Remotely viewing from the clock’s pendulum-
Distracting the mind you intentionally envenom...
I build a new home from passing tick-tocks
Expired seconds, reincarnating as blocks...
And,
I did not
Forget
To
Smile.

Though,
I do acknowledge,
There was a shortcoming in securing my tether to what is real...
In lieu of what you’d rather I believe of myself or how you prefer I feel...

So,
tomorrow,
I’ll commence to chiseling anchors-
build myself up a tether weather stockpile...
And,
I’ll be sure
You
Never Forget-

how it oddly, only looked like a smile...

Oh the dreaded conformity Mala; we all have our potential to live down. Gracefully if possible; but inevitable I do believe - that's why my goals are minimal. Enjoyed the anchor symbolism very much as it also put me in mind of a Gallagher comedy skit. Cheers! - Dan

I enjoyed this piece very much! The rhythm served to give it a manic feel that really amplified your words. Great work! Ciao, T/S Scholar
