Echoes

By midnights voice

Echoes

the echoes bounce
inside my head
telling me
"Not yet dead !"

I proclaimed
a mortal feast
then I slaughtered
and devoured the beast

And all the while
the echoes toiled
there inside
the sins , they boiled

I can always run
but never flee
the incessant pain
residing in me

in the valley
steeped and walled
my screams bounce back
as I've been called

inside my skull
a pathetic wreck
The echoes made
they bend , they beck
