I will , I wait

By midnights voice

I will , I wait

I will , I wait
standing before
the final gate

I will , I wait
dark as death's
damp earthen mate

I will , I wait
false as the twinkling
lights above

I will , I wait
staring at the truth
below

I will , I wait
but not now
nor evermore

I will , I wait
intently
with colden core

I will , I wait
I will , I wait
I will , I wait

no more . . .

I agree with hazy, the art and words really work well together. The repetition of phrase and alliteration give the feeling of moving through a ritual, a bit of dark and magic. Scholar

I love the cadence of your works. You have a great sense of what photos work with your poems as well. I always love reading what you have to say. Nicely done.
