...Fractures

By SolApathy

I drift upon the ebbs of our once fierce love
Now an empty echo of what once was
If only I was shattered, it would be easy to see
I hide this huge crack that runs the breadth of me
I turn as you approach
A causal reproach
Into the shadows as I can’t let you see
Losing you has broken
…Me

I agree, sometimes the shortest are the most hard hitting. Fantastic as always, I love the constant intensity of your words... Nothing from you ever feels the slightest bit pedestrian, it all packs a punch.
