Sorry

By Lab Rat

Take me to the truth
of the matter
The villain in your kiss
The bliss I feel in a fist
Struck without a reason
No wonder why
And I won't apologize
I won't play pretend

I can't realize
Where you fell, and I stood back up

Just drunk hazing
Dazed and craving
I whisper weak, in a moment of speech
Where words carry like a whimper
To the flow of forever

I'm sorry, so very sorry
But I've nothing left to say
Nothing left to give
And I see you sleep
Cascaded in bruised glory
I just sit silently
In the corner of our time
Where the stars fade out
And die away

Where our eyes fade, villainous and poison
The venom on our tongues
Never quite says it enough
