Relentless

By 10 Forty Three

I am relentless
In the way
That I smother you
With affection.

So many questions
Of your days..
And how you plot
Your next move.

I wish I could tell you
How and where but
I am stuck here waiting
For my energy to return.

I am on your side.

You are relentless
In the way
That you know me
And keep me guessing.

Too many thoughts
Mold the mind
Into something else
So I wait patiently.

I am an on your side.

We are relentless
In the way
That we plot
When we come together.

Now you will see
The difference between our smiles
And our real smiles.
The wait is finally over.

You chose the wrong side.

It seems like a positive love poem. And final conjoining of somebody who has made you complete, if I am wrong I apologize but this is a beautiful short tribute.

That ending snaps so sharply...Loved the flow and build up to each "I am on your side" and then more build....*BANG!* Like a door slammed shut. Very nice work.

  • A former member wrote: relentless in the way we plot...love that line...really nice work! Xie Xie!

A bird in the hand comes to mind 10. Liked the abrupt ending that makes the reader sit upright as though they missed something maybe (but it was there all along) - cheers! - Dan
