The moon - so far away

By beamish

The moon seems so far

Is that what the moon people say about Mars

It's all a perception of a reality we've been taught

Some say her mistake was a sin

But to her that little baby might be all she will ever see as grace in a cold world of hate

The needle in his arm seems a death he shouldn't have to live

But to him it allows a reach long enough to touch a brilliant place far off this planet

We spend too much time judging other and sweeping ours out of sight

Sin is sin
Lust is life

Close your hate filled eyes and look inside

Find your own flaws before dropping the hammer on those you don't know

See how to free your beasts in a world of caged kittens

People are not metal and judging isn't free

The acid your lips drip rust hearts and turn life into a disease

You hurt me
I kill you
Our combined pain flows onto even more innocent lambs

Yes
we are all headed for the slaughter

But we don't stand as each other's masters

So

please stop the madness and pocket your knife

Live together before we all say goodbye to our hope and our lives
