you can say you're cold and heartless all you like
to distance yourself from the hurt you feel
how you treat people are your actions and your excuses
however being heartless is something uncontrollable from within
you can wear the clothes you want, get whatever piercings
make yourself seem as unappealing just to distance yourself from them
your tattoos show who you are, not deflect attachments
they will still hurt you through your pretend wall
appreciate the pain that's attached to loss
feel the pressure and burden that accompanies love
accept these feelings as attachments and
take down this pretend wall that's between us all
