The road to truth

By beamish

One day when you wake

From your half baked dream you call life

Eyes finally clear
Clear after a half century of whiskey clouding your ability to see

To see for the first time the lies that have so easily contained your being

Strolling along the path those call less traveled

But
the reality is that path is a super hi-way to death's factory

Only the ones who have embraced insanity have been able to see the other way

Grown over and covered with grass
But once uncovered the places this hidden path may lead

The star exploding universes waiting for exploration

The mind races to get there first
The body trails behind scooping up the lost pieces

Sucking the meat clean from life's feast just waiting

Waiting to be eaten
But never seen on the green path just out of sight of the well traveled super hi-way of life

Take the chance and stray from your predestined way

Go off road and play
Run your mind like a dog free in the spring fields

Bounce your life down the uneven road
The road that leads to your true happiness
