Bad Dreams
By Phalanx
If you look real close and then pull back, full frame for a panoramic view,
You'll see it's all warped.
I'm told in the politest of ways that I'm crazy, that I don't understand
The full scope of this misdirected world.
I don't need twenty, twenty to know I'm stepping in shit.
I take comfort in the time that it takes for concepts to cave in
Because, I get to watch.
I get to witness all of every persons wishes and aspirations vanish.
The world will stop at a flailing screech and I get to watch.
It's the most beautiful snuff film that will be recorded in jagged fragments
By media.
Some folks dance in rain, I prefer fire.
I've never felt more at home than when everything is falling apart.
It's like going on a field trip where I get to count bullets instead of
cars
Nose to ass on the interstate.
I look forward to it because a system built to sustain humanity
Cannot function when people have forgotten
What makes them so.
We're being hearded into an empty future where we are no longer a factor
and
Therefore, disposable.
Worker bees die without reckognition.
If you don't want your ass to land on the moon,
Pull your head from the sand.
It's all a construct, a distraction.
Wake up.

"Some folks dance in rain, I prefer fire." It seems like both dancers will soon get their fill. Perhaps the best work you've ever shared with us. I'd bookmark it if I had room.
