Fading to heaven

I have you constantly on my mind,
All I can think of is you
and what you left behind.
A broke and beaten warrior
Although I still miss you
you still left

Why?

You meant everything to me,
you were there for me,
I was there for you,
But in your final years
you were slowly fading,
I'd like to think fading into heaven,

But I like to think many things,
however I won't let it take away from who you were,
my rock, my saviour, my light at the end of the tunnel.
Then God turned your light off,
now you are with him guiding the way for others.
I may want you but heaven needs you. So have fun up there.
