Clockwork Madness

By lupus tenebrae

Thoughts
race by;
unchecked and
blurry, flesh-wounds
shone glistening in
a dim-lit bedroom, shame
compounding at the door 'til
it's neck deep fathom threatens to
swallow the whole of my form. Silence,
once driven from my airspace, returns; bra-
zen and vengeful, ruthless vaccuum replacing
the madness that stirred like clockwork beneath night's veil.
