Insomniac dreams
By ColorMeToxic
Most of the time
I don't sleep,
but
when I do,
I dream
in shades of grey
as if,
the world
has been sketched
in coal
by a brilliantly
talented hand.
Depression exists,
even in
slumber...
yet,
I live for sleep,
where I can be...
anything.

This really describes what it's like to be an insomniac. "As if the world has been sketched in coal", is a great line too.

Those last three lines nailed it, love the way your words bled out in this. Great stuff

This is a beautiful way to explain how inescapable depression is, and how it is yet still easier to handle without the waking world to amplify it.

"I live for sleep where I can be anything." That line is brilliant, I must say. Absolutely gorgeous.

Lack of sleep brings out the best, "as if, the world has been sketched in coal by a brilliantly talented hand." And you are the proof. Like a silken spider spinning translucent silhouette webs, driving my hearts continual beat. -Gorgeous, truly gorgeous
