Pray for light.

By Phalanx

Fire crackel and insects gather tinder.
Friction and well placed spawn.
Submit bones for mortar and the things burning between.
One great battle.
One great war.
Show me the way the hammer falls,
Your way, my way.
Teach me the blood and bone construct and the blissful way
You take it apart.
Put it in my hands and I'll put it away when you tell me to.
I just want to swing my axe for a while.
Cut'em down while the equalizer plays his cards.
Been caged and kicking.
Windblasting the unholy howl of light into sky.
Heavy heart, big lungs and hell at the back door.
Fire at the gates.
Hellfire for a good cause.
I get what I want, the war.
The hunger, transposed, folding flesh like iron.
I'm blacker than you.
You loosed me,
Take me back when you're ready.
Blood, feud, fire, what you would've.
It's far too late.
Can I?
I whip my face from side to side, needing this.
It has to make sense.
You built me.
Give me back my hands.
Father, creator of weapon,
I will obey.
